On his first journey to Vietnam, Spanish artist Jose Enrique Pérez Rubio was captivated by the country’s architectural heritage, layered history, and its enduring spirit of learning passed down through generations.
From this emotional connection, an artwork was born—shaped by careful observation and genuine admiration for Vietnam’s cultural essence, seen through an international lens.
The artwork draws inspiration from Khuê Văn Các, a revered symbol of wisdom, scholarship, and the intellectual legacy of Thang Long – Hanoi. More than an architectural icon, Khuê Văn Các represents the values of knowledge, education, and enlightenment deeply rooted in Vietnamese culture.
In recognition of these shared values, the artist thoughtfully gifted the artwork to Oriental Square by OSI.
Set within a Grade A office environment in Starlake, the artwork serves not only as a visual highlight, but also as a quiet reminder of Vietnam’s core values—knowledge, cultural identity, and sustainable cultural exchange.
